Gutter Cleaning in Limerick

A blocked gutter doesn't look like much from the ground, but it sends rainwater down your walls instead of into the drain. Over a few winters that means damp patches inside, rotting fascia and green streaks down the front of the house. We clear the lot: gutters, downpipes and the moss that slides down off the roof into them. We cover Limerick City, Castletroy, Annacotty, Raheen, Dooradoyle and Patrickswell and everywhere else in the county.

The full job, not half of it.

  • Full clear-out of gutters on the house, extension and garage
  • Downpipes flushed and checked for blockages
  • Moss and debris bagged and taken away, not left on your lawn
  • A look at brackets, joints and leaks while we're up there
  • Photos of anything that needs fixing so you can see it yourself

Time to book if you've got

  • Water spilling over the edge of the gutter when it rains
  • Grass, weeds or little plants growing out of the gutter
  • Damp patches on inside walls or ceilings near the eaves
  • Green or black streaks running down the outside walls
  • Gutters sagging or pulling away from the fascia

How we do it

Step by step.

  1. 01

    Check

We look at the gutters, downpipes and roof edge before we start, so there are no surprises.

  2. 02

    Clear

Gutters scooped out by hand or with a gutter vac, depending on height and access.

  3. 03

    Flush

Downpipes flushed through to make sure the water actually gets away.

  4. 04

    Tidy

Waste bagged and removed, and we show you any repairs worth knowing about.

Best time to book

Late autumn, once the leaves are down, is the big one. If you've trees close to the house, a second clean in spring is worth it.

In Limerick

With the amount of rain Limerick gets, a blocked gutter overflows quickly and soaks the walls below. Once a year, before winter, is the minimum. Sitting on the Shannon with weather rolling in from the west, Limerick gets a steady, damp climate. That's ideal for moss on driveways and green streaks under windowsills, and not great for anything left uncleaned for a few winters.

Gutter Cleaning in Limerick: questions

Do you do gutter cleaning in Limerick City and Castletroy?

Yes. We cover all of County Limerick, including Limerick City, Castletroy, Annacotty, Raheen, Dooradoyle, Patrickswell, Adare, Croom, Newcastle West, Rathkeale, Abbeyfeale and Kilmallock.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

At least once a year for most Irish homes, ideally in late autumn. If you've trees overhanging the house, or a roof that sheds a lot of moss, twice a year is safer.

Do I need to be home?

Usually not, as long as we can get around the outside of the house. We'll sort out access with you when we quote.

Can you fix a leaking gutter as well?

Often, yes. Small jobs like a loose bracket or a leaking joint can usually be done on the day. Anything bigger, we'll show you photos and quote it separately.
