Gutter Cleaning in Cork
A blocked gutter doesn't look like much from the ground, but it sends rainwater down your walls instead of into the drain. Over a few winters that means damp patches inside, rotting fascia and green streaks down the front of the house. We clear the lot: gutters, downpipes and the moss that slides down off the roof into them. We cover Cork City, Douglas, Ballincollig, Glanmire, Carrigaline and Cobh and everywhere else in the county.

How we do it
Step by step.
- 01
Check
We look at the gutters, downpipes and roof edge before we start, so there are no surprises.
- 02
Clear
Gutters scooped out by hand or with a gutter vac, depending on height and access.
- 03
Flush
Downpipes flushed through to make sure the water actually gets away.
- 04
Tidy
Waste bagged and removed, and we show you any repairs worth knowing about.
Best time to book
Late autumn, once the leaves are down, is the big one. If you've trees close to the house, a second clean in spring is worth it.
In Cork
With the amount of rain Cork gets, a blocked gutter overflows quickly and soaks the walls below. Once a year, before winter, is the minimum. East Cork and the harbour towns take salt air off the sea, which dulls render and windows faster than you'd think. West Cork gets the full Atlantic rain, so moss and green algae get a grip on paths, walls and roofs quickly.

Gutter Cleaning in Cork: questions
Do you do gutter cleaning in Cork City and Douglas?
Yes. We cover all of County Cork, including Cork City, Douglas, Ballincollig, Glanmire, Carrigaline, Cobh, Midleton, Mallow, Fermoy, Youghal, Bandon, Kinsale, Clonakilty, Macroom, Mitchelstown, Skibbereen and Bantry.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
At least once a year for most Irish homes, ideally in late autumn. If you've trees overhanging the house, or a roof that sheds a lot of moss, twice a year is safer.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not, as long as we can get around the outside of the house. We'll sort out access with you when we quote.
Can you fix a leaking gutter as well?
Often, yes. Small jobs like a loose bracket or a leaking joint can usually be done on the day. Anything bigger, we'll show you photos and quote it separately.
